Transition Department Interns will also work closely with community agencies, such as half-way houses and treatment centers to obtain current information for offenders' release plan. Opportunities exist for interns to participate in assisting offenders to develop vocational plans to apply during their incarceration and to help offenders prepare for various vocational/educational opportunities upon their release. Supervision: Interns will be supervised by the Corrections Transition Program Coordinator. Requirements: Interns should be upper-level undergraduate students (generally seniors) or upper-level undergraduate students in corrections, social work or a related field at an accredited college or university which offers course credit for internships. All interns must clear a security check. Length of Internship: 1 or 2 semesters (400-400+ hours), flexible Application priority deadline date: Note: This internship is unpaid Applications will be accepted after these dates until positions are filled
