Registered Nurse Supervisor

Salary Range:  $27.07 to 40.43 per hour; $56,522 to 84,418 per year

Work Locations:  Positions may occur at Minnesota Correctional Facilities located in: Faribault, Lino Lakes (Twin Cities Suburbs-North), Moose Lake/Willow River, Oak Park Heights, Red Wing, Rush City, St. Cloud, Shakopee, and Stillwater.

Job Duties:  Provide supervision to health care staff that provides services to the offender population.  This includes reviewing health assessments completed on all offenders; developing treatment plans; interfacing with the primary care providers on a regular basis; and evaluating program effectiveness.  Job duties also include completing employee work schedules, evaluating staff performance, hiring new staff, disciplining and rewarding staff, providing training to new and seasoned employees and participating on committees as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:  Current licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse (Minnesota licensure must be attained prior to hire); two years of full-time nursing experience; demonstrated leadership and organizational skills; and oral and written communication skills.

Must pass pre-employment physical examination, psychotherapy, drug and alcohol screening, and tuberculosis screening.  

Preferred Qualifications:  Two years of supervisory experience; experience working in a correctional setting or security unit; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related health care field; and knowledge of working with union contracts.
