Terms Used in Job Announcements Job Title - the official job classification title of the State of Minnesota. If a position specializes in a certain area, a class option (or specialty area) will be listed after the job title. Salary Range - the minimum and maximum hourly and annual rate of pay for the job title, which is negotiated through the collective bargaining process. Work Locations - the location(s) where vacant positions in the job title may occur. Applicants must choose their work location preferences at the time they apply and may update this information at any time. Qualified applicants will only be referred to a vacant position if they have indicated an availability/preference to work at the location of the vacancy. Job Duties - a brief description of the work performed by this job title. Minimum Qualifications - a description of the job-related qualifications (such as education experience, certification, licensure, knowledge, skills and abilities) that are required at the point of hire. Also, notes to applicants, if applicable, related to the minimum qualifications that may instruct applicants to ensure certain information is included in their resumes.
