Staff in this program coordinate victim assistance and restorative justice activities for the department.  This includes victim notification, safety planning, information and referral, staff and community training, offender victim-impact education, policy and procedure development, victim-offender dialogue, the apology letter bank, and National Crime Victim Rights and National Restorative Justice Week activities.  In addition, staff serve as a statutory appointment to the department’s End-of-Confinement Review Committees responsible for assigning risk levels to all predatory offenders at release.
