The controlling sentence is the sentence which controls the offender's release date. This is typically either the offender's longest sentence or the last sentence in a series of sentences to be served consecutively.

Release dates are subject to change at any time based on jail credit, discipline violations or resentencing actions. Also, offenders are generally not released to supervision on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or state holidays. Therefore, if the anticipated release date falls on any of these days, please contact the appropriate correctional facility for clarification.
